Writer Winston's Top 30 songs of 2019

Here we go. The past year has once again brought us so much amazing Canadian country music - so come on kids, let's dig in.

Seemingly yearly disclaimer: Creating a post like this is always a million times harder than one would expect - you think I would've learned by now. That said, since my little blog still lives in virtual obscurity, there's a good chance this list is for nothing else but my own amusement — and I'm totally okay with that.

It was no surprise 2019 yielded some incredible tracks from some incredible artists.

And while our friends south of the border (hey Americans, still love ya!) can boast no shortage of powerhouse performers, this is all about the Great White North.

I should also mention, though, while I love each and every one of these songs, there are so many more out there — and it was damn hard to narrow it down. The only real way to choose was to depend on butt-shakeability, and/or the tear-up factor, as well as vehicular singability. As you can see, it was all very scientific.
