THE STORYTELLER

Since graduating from Conestoga College with a print journalism diploma in 2013, Whitney has worked as a multimedia journalist for several publications across southwestern Ontario — most recently, Our London magazine.

After growing up in Kitchener, Whitney spent several years living in both Toronto and Vancouver before returning to Ontario to continue her education in 2010. A previous graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design, where she earned a bachelor of fine arts as well as her thesis in fine art photography, Whitney yearned for a career combining her love of photography with her passion for writing.

During her time at Conestoga College, she held the position of editor with the school newspaper, Spoke, as well as a feature writing position at the Waterloo Region Record. After graduation, Whitney worked in the editorial departments of the Cambridge Times and Seaforth Huron Expositor before moving to the Forest City to take on the roles of writer, photographer, layout artist and assistant editor with Our London from 2014 until its closure in January of 2018.

She is currently working as a freelance writer/photographer for Ldnent.Live and Business London Magazine, as well as creating content for several national, international and local artists, record labels and musicians with marketing and social media projects and strategies.
